Mellerio dits Meller

Mellerio dits Meller: a jewelry company founded in 1613

Since the establishment in 1613 of the Mellerio dits Meller Jewelry, fourteen generations have transmitted, from father to son, the spirit of creation and excellence, ingenuity, know-how, and ancestral skills, to perpetuate the oldest family company in Europe.

Originally from Italy, the Mellerio family has combined the attraction for aesthetics and magnificence and the creativity of their origins with French classicism, precision, and elegance.

Still today, their harmonious creations, with their discreet, refined delicacy, bear witness to this double heritage.

The first jeweler to set up on Rue de la Paix in 1815, Mellerio played its part in making this legendary Parisian street one of the symbols of French luxury in the world.

Still today, in its workshops at 9 Rue de La Paix, timeless works of art are being created, distinct sets of jewelry and wonderful, unique pieces.

Over the centuries, these creations have attracted the most prestigious and demanding clients: royal and imperial families from France, Europe, Russia, Latin America, and the Far East.

The archives held at Mellerio, including some accounts books dating back to 1780, tell of the incredible creations dreamed up to present to Queen’s jewelry unlike any other, steeped in emotion and sensitivity.

Among Mellerio dits Meller’s clients are celebrities, Academy members, and renowned intellectuals. For them were created swords that equal in know-how and virtuosity the most beautiful royal jewels.

Mellerio has also created some of the most beautiful sporting awards, including the Coupe des Mousquetaires (Roland Garros) and the Ballon d’Or (France-Football).

It is the passion of Mellerio, its unique style, its creativity that is beyond passing trends, and its demand for absolute quality that has enabled it to retain the confidence and loyalty of its clientele for almost four centuries.
