Le Vian Jewelers have been purveyors of fine jewelry since the 15th century when the Shah of Persia
conquered India and brought back the fabled Kohinoor diamond, the largest ruby ever discovered and
other priceless gems. Who could be trusted to guard his treasures? Who else? The LeVian family, whose
ancestry dates back 2500 years to the priestly Levi tribe of ancient Israel.
In 1950, realizing a longtime dream, Mr. A. LeVian established the company in New York, emigrating from
Persia to the United States, with the finest gemstones available in the world, handset into “invisible
settings.”
Under the guidance of his son, Eddie LeVian, who joined the company in 1978, Le Vian has grown and
prospered through its entry into uncharted territory in the jewelry world and through his eyebrow-raising
marketing techniques, all to bring fine jewelry within reach of jewelry lovers – and would-be jewelry
lovers – coast to coast.
Today, Le Vian collectors number more than 500,000, including royalty and billionaires but, more
important to Eddie, jewelry lovers at middle income levels to whom he has opened a treasure trove.
Who's wearing Le Vian? To date, Le Vian counts members of royalty, billionaires, and many celebrities
and movie stars amongst its 1/2 million registered collectors. Collectors include Prince Joti Shah of
Katmandu, Britney Spears, Florence Henderson, Star Jones, Barbara Walters, Carol Burnett, and George
Foreman.
Le Vian jewelry and timepieces have graced the lobes, fingers and wrists of the Hollywood elite from the
hot actors of today to the legends of the silver screen to the young trendsetters of tomorrow in sports,
television and music.
